AT THICKET STATION

Capt. Finniagan: What hath my eye espy, Sergeant Counselor Holly! I ever enjoy a visit from thee, yet not so in such a custom: athwart the Jungle of Vegetabilis bearing a mere rocket suit. What hath passed in this strange time since the bewildering energy burst? Is well at Station Central?

Sgt. Holly: At least my presence brings some joy as I otherwise bear only woes, last of which are the wholesomely horrid vegetables of the jungle! As with Station Central, I see you here are stricken alike, bipedalists vanished, systems faint, but have you ships?

Capt. Finniagan: Forsooth, a few mere space trollies, all else wanting. Mayhap of importance, we have connection to the Nexus, albeit but signals of static.

Sgt. Holly: This paltry report of static is encouraging! A journey we should make to the Nexus and reestablishing communication we should endeavor. You are a keen pilot my friend and with my sharpshooting, we can make it through the asteropebbles without worriment.

Capt. Finniagan: Sharpshooting thou sayest? Akin to assailing a picoprawn with a juggernaut warhead! Yet, I welcome a cruise in asteroid-space and whilst I be less fretful than thee for vegetables, a hunt thither and a joint of critter would grow my spirits. Aye, doest not beseech mine jest, I heartily trust thine shot, dear Holly. However, alas, afore the energy burst, we caught signal of great disruption and gravity anomalies. We might have some surprises from the vacuums!

Sgt. Holly: All Perhaps true, but there is no choice but forward. And, I sense luck, if we happen upon relict fuel cells, I can improve the fire-rate of the electrolucent laser-pointer.

Capt. Finniagan: Halt! Enough words my friend, we must have haste! To mine favorite space trolly, we shall go direct and turn sharply into the asteroids belt, it will be the swiftest path, if needing swift maneuvering. Yet if must hit some stones, we should hit the smaller, causing less damage. . .
